[WATCH] Karate Combat President Chokes Out Cornerman At Karate Combat 47 Brawl

Just when you thought that the fights in the “pit” couldn’t get any more exciting…
Here comes the Karate Combat President himself to prove you otherwise.

Namely, it was Asim Zaidi who demonstrated his commitment to maintaining order during a brawl at Karate Combat 47.

The incident took place after Luis Melendez secured a unanimous decision victory over Will Esparza.
Displeased with the outcome, Esparza’s cornerman stormed into the fighting pit, attempting to confront Melendez – and, well, chaos ensued.

Zaidi quickly intervened, together with UFC veteran Sam Alvey to subdue the aggressive cornerman.
Zaidi then applied a Rear Naked Choke, rendering the intruder unconscious and bringing the situation under control.

The altercation, which had spilled into the crowd, was swiftly managed, and Esparza’s team was escorted out of the venue.

The Karate Combat president later emphasized:

Sleep. No fighting, no fighting. Only in the pit, only the fighters.
