Urijah Faber Wants To Work With Eddie Bravo To Improve Combat Jiu-Jitsu

Mixed martial arts (MMA) veteran Urijah Faber recently expressed his enthusiasm for collaborating with Eddie Bravo – in order to advance the sport of Combat Jiu-Jitsu.

Specifically, Faber is eager to see this hybrid grappling form grow and better prepare athletes for MMA.

And it’s for this reason that Faber aims to work with Eddie Bravo, so as to refine and develop the rules of Combat Jiu-Jitsu.
Praising Bravo, Faber said:

I want to give props to Eddie Bravo for being a guy that is always thinking forward in the sport.
Not just Jiu-Jitsu, but in mixed martial arts in general.

He went on to explain what his plans are with Combat Jiu-Jitsu:

My objective is for Combat Jiu-Jitsu to really prep people for mixed martial arts
And the Combat Jiu-Jitsu in the world championships is just a little bit different.

Faber has already received significant interest from high-level wrestlers and Jiu-Jitsu players – which shows that there is already a strong demand for Combat Jiu-Jitsu:

As soon as I put this (idea) out, I got a slew of people hitting me up.

From all in my past, fighters I’ve fought, high-level wrestlers, high-level Jiu-Jitsu players.
There’s a real demand for this.
