ADXC 5: Urijah Faber, Chad Mendes, & Bibiano Fernandes To Compete In No-Gi Matches

Three former UFC fighters are set to showcase their grappling skills in Abu Dhabi – at ADXC 5!

The Abu Dhabi Extreme Championship (ADXC) has announced that Urijah Faber will headline ADXC 5 in a no-gi match against Bibiano Fernandes…
But that’s not all.

Sharing the spotlight in the co-main event are multiple-time UFC featherweight title challenger Chad Mendes and former UFC lightweight contender Kevin Lee!

Both matches will take place as a part of the ADXC 5 event, on August 2.

Urijah Faber, known as “The California Kid”, recently secured a victory over Jeff Glover in a Combat Jiu-Jitsu match at his A1 Combat promotion in May.
Faber, who boasts 19 submission wins out of his 35 MMA victories, has also previously defeated Fernandes by doctor stoppage back in 2006 at King of the Cage.

Bibiano Fernandes, who had just started his MMA career at the time of his first encounter with Faber, went on to achieve significant success in ONE Championship and Dream – securing nine of his 24 professional wins by submission.

Chad Mendes has been active in various combat sports since his last UFC fight in 2018.

He competed in grappling events, starting with a draw against Gesias Cavalcante at Quintet in 2019 – and also tried his hand at bare-knuckle boxing, where he had a 1-1 record, including a knockout victory over Joshuah Alvarez.
